Enter the hallow’d halls of St Patrick’s Cathedral for a fascinating programme of music, workshops, talks and tours to celebrate National Heritage Week. All events are free!
Saturday 19th August is Family Day: enjoy a free family tour of the Cathedral at 3:30pm followed by a performance of Prokofiev’s Peter & the Wolf at 5:30pm.
Monday 21st August: enjoy a lunchtime recital in the beautiful Lady Chapel with Piano Duo followed by acclaimed historian Las Fallon recounting the story of the Liberties Whiskey Fire of 1875 at 2.30pm.
There’s a free tour of the Cathedral daily at 3:30pm from Monday 21st to Friday 25th August.
Photographer can take the ultimate snaps of the beautiful interiors of the cathedral with After Hours Photography Night on Monday 21st August at 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
Tuesday 22nd August: escape the traffic outside with a Rush Hour Organ Recital at 6:30pm.
Wednesday 23rd August: discover the fascinating links of the Cathedral to Dublin’s French Huguenot population in the 17th and 18th centuries with Linda Taylor at 2:30pm.
Thursday 24th August: learn about the life of the Cathedral’s most famous Dean, Jonathan Swift – Author, Dean and Banker – with Brendan Twomey at 2:30pm, or visit the Cathedral after hours from 7:30pm.
