Your Community: Getting Active, Getting Involved

Building a strong and resilient community requires everyone’s involvement. The Community Development team at Dublin City Council South Central Area Office is now working on a programme to revitalise and restart residents and community groups in Dublin 8 and to encourage engagement with programmes such as National Tidy Towns, Pride of Place and City Neighbourhoods.

The partnership between the Council and local groups will support environmental initiatives, clean-ups, greening, deal with issues and support family life and youth across the area. Currently the initiative is working towards participation in Spring Clean Month in April. That’s a great opportunity to get involved and active to make The Liberties and surrounding neighbourhoods look their very best.

If you would like to get involved with a local community group or are looking for more details on the initiatives above them why not contact the Community Development team at southcentral@dublincity.ie, or speak to your neighbours about organising your own clean-up or Liberties in Bloom initiative.
