Mannings on Thomas Street is a Liberties’ institution, it’s tearoom playing host to the many colourful characters that work, live and study in the area. Mannings Bakery began as a small family-run bakery over 60 years ago and they retain that family feel to this day and have never lost track of their craft heritage.
Each day in-store, they hand-make an extensive range of sumptious cream cakes, confectionery and savoury food. You’ll find everything from the traditional custard cream slice and apple tarts to carrot cake and chocolate gateaux, not to mention delicious salads, gourmet sandwiches, and hot dishes.
Perfect for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea, and if you’re looking to treat the office, get a bakers dozen from its delicious range of cakes.

John’s Bar is a mish mash of salvaged seating, cosy nooks, crannies, snugs, and a long central bar counter filled to the brim with beverages, old school sweets, and haberdashery bits and bobs.
