The Dublin Festival of History 2021 programme is now live, with over 70 events set to take place online and in person from 20th September – 10th October, featuring European, British and Irish historians and speakers.

Dublin City Libraries will host a range of events including Dublin 8: Witness to the Revolution with Liz Gillis and Cathy Scuffil, the 22nd Medieval Dublin Symposium with the Friends of Medieval Dublin on 24th & 25th September, and tours of the fabulous Edward Worth Library at Dr Steeven’s Hospital and Dublinia – all with a D8 flavour. Given the year we are in, the programme also includes events marking the centenaries of the War of Independence, the Truce and the onset of the Civil War.

All events are free with booking and limited numbers required for some events.
