The Liberties Ambassadors, who have been very busy welcoming visitors to the area since June, finally hung up their signature purple bibs on Saturday the 30th August. The 13 week programme has been one of the key features of the ‘Summer in The Liberties’ programme and the volunteer ambassadors have been instrumental in making The Liberties Dublin’s ‘must see’ areas this summer. The Ambassador Programme was run by Volunteer Ireland and generously supported by Dublin City Council and Fáilte Ireland. The assistance of NCAD in allowing the use of 113 Thomas Street as the Volunteer Hub, and the hospitality of a number of businesses in the area to the volunteers is also greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of you for your help in making The Liberties a better place to visit.
Community feedback on the programme is very welcome and this short questionnaire (5 quick questions) looks to gather your views on the volunteer programme and its benefit to the renewal and promotion of The Liberties area as a visitor destination. The short survey, which is completely anonymous, can be answered by clicking here.
