Next Stage for Liberties Creative Campus

The final phase of consultation on the feasibility of a creative campus in The Liberties is now underway

Dublin City Arts Office has launched the final phase of consultation on the feasibility of a creative campus in The Liberties.

Throughout the last year, the community and stakeholders have taken part in the consultation process either by completing the Artist Baseline survey, a Community Co-design survey, or by taking part in workshops and meetings. The Arts Office would now like to hear your views on the concept proposals which have been developed as part of the feasibility study.

The proposals are part of an Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF) regeneration project that aims to deliver new workspace for artists within the city. In total three initial council-owned sites have been identified, at Bridgefoot Street and at 8 and 9 Merchants Quay (the site of the former Little St Anthony’s Theatre).

The vision of the project is to jointly develop the sites and properties, and partnering with existing organisations in Dublin 8, such as the existing NCAD site, to form a campus for the arts and cultural sector that will also deliver new community facilities and public spaces.

You can browse the concept plans that emerged from the previous two rounds of consultations and take part in this final survey here: Please note the deadline for feedback is Wednesday 3rd March 2021.
