Rejuvenating Francis Street

Dublin City Council together with Áit Urbanism + Landscape is currently developing street improvement proposals for Francis Street. The Council is seeking improvements to pavements and street surfaces, widened areas of pavement to allow for greater pedestrian use, tree planting, and new street lighting and street furniture.  A draft concept of how the street might look has been developed following initial workshops with local businesses and residents last summer and can be viewed here. Initial comments and further ideas are welcomed at this stage to help inform the final design. You can email comments to Stephen Coyne.

The Council will shortly be embarking on a Part VIII planning application process for street improvement works, including a public consultation. More details on the Francis Street plan in due course.
