Far from the traditional parade on O’Connell Street of yesteryear, the St Patrick’s Festival is now a five day-long extravaganza celebrating Irish-ness. More details at www.stpatricksfestival.ie.

Guinness in The Liberties, walking tours from St Patrick’s Cathedral looking at the legacy of the famous brewing dynasty in Dublin 8 – 14th, 15th, 16th and 18th March at various times. Booking essential at www.stpatricksfestival.ie

In the Footsteps of St Patrick with Pat Liddy – Dublin’s favorite walking guide uncovers the story of our patron saint in the capital (before it was even a city!) – 14th – 18th March 10.30am and 2.30pm. Booking essential at www.stpatricksfestival.ie 

Teelings Spirit of Dublin St Patrick’s Craft Fair – the Newmarket venue will be packed with over 20 artisan food, drink and craft suppliers on Saturday 16th March between 10am and 5pm. Admission is free. More at www.teelingdistillery.com.
