Gifts for creative types – Jam Art Factory on Patrick Street is home to some of the best in Irish design, with Dublin illustrations, cute prints and handmade jewellery – Lots of thoughtful, unique gifts.

Plant Life on Cork Street has a wide selection of plants and trees for your garden or home. THE best place to find gifts for anyone with green fingers. Also if you still haven’t got your Christmas tree, here is the spot!

As one of the best-known market areas of Dublin, The Liberties offers plenty of gift options for those into vintage clothing and old jewellery. The Liberty Belle Bazaar is one of the best sources for all kinds of lovely things, and shopping here is an added experience with Dublin’s smallest intimate cinema and a cosy café that could be your granny’s living room. All with a sprinkling of Hollywood stardust and disco sparkle!

Ireland’s Art & Antiques Quarter on Francis Street is home to some great furniture shops and craft stores. Anonymous stands out for its retro offerings of furniture and funky lights. Some really cool stuff here for anyone who might be decorating their home.

A4 Art on Thomas Street is a popular destination for those arty types from NCAD and a great place to get some creative gifts. They sell everything from card and marker to glitter and paint. You have two choices by Christmas shopping in A4 Art:

Ireland’s newest whiskey distillery, located on Newmarket, is a special visitor experience, and not just for whiskey fans. Unlike other such destinations visitors can actually witness the whiskey-making process. They of course get a taste or two of the results! Teelings have a great bar and a nice cafe downstairs where you can find alternative gifts such as delicious whiskey marmalade.

The entertaining Cheerios Panto is held every year at the Tivoli on Francis Street. This year’s event will be held from 9th December until 10th January. ‘Excellent’…’Glamorous’…’Panto Perfection’ is just some of the praise heaped upon the hilarious adventure.

Voted one of the twelve best shops in Ireland by The Irish Times and its readers, The Constant Knitter on Francis Street is a veritable wool emporium and provides knitting and crochet classes. You are in ‘butcher heaven’ in The Liberties. Its the perfect place for your turkeys, hams and all the trimmings. Christmas hampers are available from both Fay’s Meat Specialists on Thomas Street and O’Neill’s butchers on Meath Street. If you have a big family to feed this Christmas, this is a must-have. There’s something for all appetites here!
