A Healthy Start to 2024 with SmartD8

Step into Spring with a programme of health and wellbeing community initiatives supported by SmartD8

Dublin 8’s health and wellbeing testbed, Smart D8, has some exciting news regarding several initiatives from January until May this year to promote health and wellbeing in the community.

Starting this month, Smart D8 will focus on ‘healthy food and eating’ by supporting two fantastic organizations and their initiatives:

  • Fatima Groups United in the delivery of ‘nutrition classes’ during its Change For Life Programme
  • Robert Emmet CDP/South Inner City Community Development Association (SICCDA) in the delivery of ‘cooking on a budget’ classes
  • Get moving and join Fatima Groups United for free ‘dance classes’ during its Change For Life Programme, each Friday in February at 10am in F2Centre
  • Love Your Heart at St Andrew’s Community Centre with a day of therapies, wellness workshops and health checkups in 14th February 10am to 2pm.

You can find more information on the dates, times, and locations on the Smart D8 website, or by scroll below.

And there is lots more planned between now and summer, including around physical activity, mental health and positive and healthy ageing.
