Communities, local autourities and Gardaí working together to build safer places for residents and businesses
04.12.25
The Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) is a new whole of government initiative which brings together local councillors, community members, statutory services, the voluntary and community sector to work together in identifying and tackling community safety issues locally.
The aim of the Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) is to identify and prioritise local safety concerns, develop local community safety plans and coordinate multi agency efforts to implement them. LCSPs have been established across all local authorities in the country and there are 5 in Dublin.
The South Central Area partnership (which covers much of Dublin 8 including The Liberties) is now seeking expressions of interest to fill up to 9 community positions on the new Local Partnership. Ideally this would include representatives from community organisations and the local business community. Membership of the Local Partnership is voluntary and the term of a partnership is three years.
If you are interested in community safety issues or interesting to promote a safer business environment in The Liberties then you might like to consider joining the South Central Area Partnership.
