We want you as a new recruit!
Football Cooperative is a social enterprise that work to organise football programmes in communities as a means to encourage men to get more active and to promote positive mental health.
The Cooperative organises weekly recreational football games throughout the year, tailored to appeal to different skill levels, in order to bring men together to enjoy the Beautiful Game, to form friendships and make connections, and to promote health literacy and deliver better health outcomes through preventative means.
A new programme in Dublin 8, supported as a pilot project by Smart D8 – the smart city demonstrator project focused on healthcare and community wellbeing – has now launched and is looking to recruit men over 18 to take part in a pilot run until the end of 2025.
D8 Astro Football will take place across 3 locations in Dublin 8 (to be announced shortly). Participants will be assessed at the start of the programme for fitness levels and skill to match players at appropriate levels. And the programme incorporates health and wellbeing advice and surveys to help you track progress and demonstrate health outcomes.
If you’re interested to take part, D8 Astro Football is now recruiting. Email D8@astrofootball.ie for more details or find D8 Astro Football on Facebook and Instagram. You can also scan the QR code below to connect directly via Whatsapp.
