Mendo Walls Centenary Street Art

Life, Love The Liberties

At Easter 2016 you will see the first of Aisling Dreaming Again’s Street Art appearing on the Mendicity Institution. An appropriate location for the art, ‘the Mendo’ was the location of a rebel garrison during the Easter Rising.

More and more graffiti throw-ups have been appearing around the derelict sites on Bridgefoot St. Too many of these are little better than blots and squiggles, when instead they could engage anyone passing with a really cool image that adds something wonderful to the streetscape.

It’s planned to expand this centenary Street Art programme during the Centenary year. To put a framework on this Aisling Dreaming Again project, an Open Forum and craft workshops will be held.

More information on this exciting project at ‘the Mendo’ to follow.
