With the decision of the Government to reduce the Covid 19 alert level from 5 to 3 from 1st December, we can at least look forward to a more normal lead up to Christmas. From Tuesday 1st December shops, services such as hair salons, museums, attractions, churches and gyms can all reopen. From Friday 4th December, restaurants, hotels, pubs serving food and cafes can all reopen with seating.

Dublin.ie‘s ‘Open for Christmas’ campaign will be encouraging people to come into the city-centre safely and support city-centre businesses in the run up to Christmas. In addition to great shopping, places to eat and the festival atmosphere, check out ‘Winter Lights’, the IFA Live Animal Crib at the Mansion House, and the Christmas lights.

According to Dublin.ie: “The city has always been a special place at Christmas and we want people to enjoy their trip safely. We also urge everyone to protect themselves and others by wearing face masks, social distancing, and practising good hand hygiene”.
