Our hugely successful map and guide of The Liberties has a new look! 10,000 of the handy maps are printed each year and distributed to tourist offices, hotels and local outlets. The guide features two heritage trails through the historic Liberties – a design trail and a look back at the area’s fascinating industrial heritage – and allow visitors to discover the story behind many of the area’s prominent sights and attractions.
The redesigned map is the work of John Rooney Illustrations, and features beautiful illustrations of some of the area’s most iconic buildings including the cathedrals, St Patrick’s Tower and the ‘Sacred Heart’ grotto in Gray Street. The area’s tourist offer is fast changing and so this new iteration of the map includes additions such as the Pearse Lyons Distillery on James Street and Weaver Park. In addition to The Liberties map and guide, a newly updated version of the map for neighbouring Kilmainham & Inchicore is also available.
