The 8th Annual Liberties Fun Run takes place on Thurs 21 July. As ever its a highlight of Festival week here in The Liberties. Starting and finishing in the beautiful grounds of IMMA / Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the route takes in some of the most famous sites throughout the Liberties including St James’s Gate, Francis Street and the Coombe.

Starting at 7:45pm, this unique 6k timed road race takes participants through the heart of old Dublin and attracts in excess of 1000 participants every year.

Registration costs €30 (early bird rate of €27 applies until 30/06/2016) and all participants will receive a free souvenir running top.

All of the proceeds from the 2016 Liberties Fun Run will go directly to the GUIDe Clinic at St James’s Hospital to upgrade patient facilities.

About St James Hospital Foundation
St James’s Hospital Foundation is a limited company which is independent of St James’s Hospital.

The role of the Foundation is to facilitate and attract private investment to support the work of the Hospital. Donations to the Foundation are used to enhance facilities, support, innovation and research, provide education and training for hospital employees and elevate the standard of care for all patients.

The Foundation also manages research funds on behalf of researchers at St James’s Hospital. It is committed to creating an environment in which education and research in the health science and allied areas flourishes for the betterment of patient care.
