A new pocket park has been completed at Vicar Street – just in time for Christmas! The small delapidated playground beside Michael Mallin House has been transformed into a colourful and inviting new space for local residents and the community to enjoy.

The pocket park is formed by two timber finished circles, with curves seats and surrounded by new trees, shrubs and herbaceous planting. One circle is a seating and respite area with a beautiful myrtle tree at its centre, the other circle forms a small playground with a seesaw and rockers.

Birch trees frame the edge of the pocket park at Michael Mallin House, while amelanchiers will provide beautiful spring flowers in March.

The pocket park was designed by Haslam & Co Architects for Dublin City Council, with planting design by Colm Kenny. Construction of the park was completed by Redlough Landscapes.
