The Liberties Distilleries Trail

Life, Love The Liberties, Visit

The Liberties is fast regaining its reputation as the historic centre of Dublin’s distilling and brewing tradition.

The latest fab addition to our VISIT pages is a new map and guide to The Liberties’ whiskey and brewing tradition – both past and present. Designed by John Rooney Illustrator the new map includes all of the area’s new whiskey distilleries and breweries, all beautifully hand drawn, as well as a few snippets of history from ‘The Golden Triangle’s’ colourful past of whiskey magnates, global brands, raging infernos, the unusual mixing of whiskey and religion and more.

The map and guide will shortly be stocked in the city’s visitor centres and tourist offices, and will complement our successful Liberties Map & Guide, which features many of the area’s sights and attractions.

The Liberties Distilleries Trail features our neighbours at The Guinness Storehouse, Open Gate Brewery, Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Pearse Lyons Distillery, as well as new arrivals The Dublin Liberties Distillery and soon to open Roe & Co. Distillery on James Street – its the perfect treat for St Patrick’s Festival weekend.

You can find more details of the map as well as the wealth of things to do and discover in The Liberties at www.visittheliberties.ie
