The 2024 Culture Night programme has been announced! Mark your calendars for Friday 20th September with a smorgasboard of cultural delights taking place across Dublin from 5pm until late.
Museums, galleries, cathedrals, studios, libraries, parks, government buildings, theatres, and more will open their doors to the public, as the city comes to life with over 300 specially arranged tours, workshops, exhibitions, and performances.
Here are some of the treats in store in The Liberties & Historic Quarter…
- A special Culture Night We Love Markets at the Digital Hub from 4pm to 9pm with over 50 fab flea stalls, food, music and cool evening vibes
- Browse the delights of Francis Street’s Antiques Shops into the evening with some special shop openings
- The Cathedral Choristers and guided tours of historic Saint Patrick’s Cathedral from 6pm to 9pm
- Hen’s Teeth & Rory Bowens Present: Nocturnal Beats featuring Róisín Berkeley, Bog Band & Dreamcastmoe from 7pm till late at Hen’s Teeth in Blackpitts
- An evening of curated talks and tours and events at the renowned Chester Beatty Library in Dublin Castle from 5pm
- The Liberties Weavers extol the delights of the craft of weaving at their Timberyard premises from 5pm to 9pm
- Artist Neva Elliot presents Notes on Being Human at Pallas Studios on The Coombe from 4pm to 8pm
- QOW Trio perform at Arthur’s Jazz & Blues Club, Thomas Street from 9pm – *booking required
- The Patriot’s Walk explores the history of Ireland’s revolutionary past from Dublin Castle to Kilmainham Goal – *booking required
- Explore the delights of Archbishop Marsh’s Library with evening tours from 5.30pm to 9pm
- And get in touch with our inner Viking at Dublinia with great events all evening from 4pm to 8pm
- And there’s a great free programme of music and performances all evening at the Wood Quay Amphitheatre
